  • Schaller locking tuners/machine heads
  • Fender style bridge (non-tremolo)
  • Mahogany body and neck
  • Maple fretboard with ebony inlay
  • Humbuckers from an '76 Gibson Flying V
  • Bolt-on neck
  • 65cm string length (fender length)

I wanted to build a les paul-like guitar, with mahogany and 2 humbuckers. At the time I was very impressed by PRS guitars too. To create more brightness in the sound I used a maple fretboard. I hope that the longer string length (in comparison with Gibson) helps too.

This guitar has a very thick and full sound. Very suitable for a rock kind of sound. The bridge pickup really rocks your head off! The bridge pickup is a lot darker but it is still very usable for a solo sound. The combination with my SEL amp is great! For very clean purposes however, I prefer a stratocaster.
